Small Moments Big Impact (SMBI) helps pediatric providers have a more meaningful conversation with parents. Traditionally, the focus of the clinical encounter is solely on the child, but, with a new baby, it is important to understand the parent, their relationship with the child, and their connection to other important people in their life. As parents express new feelings and experiences, the child’s provider can partner with them in new ways to shape their baby’s physical and emotional health.
